Delivery & Instalation
Information and Preparations for Delivery and Installation
In general: the ground where your fountain is going will need to be level and compacted, except with a reservoir fountain. Reasonable access is required to make sure we can place your fountain in a safe and efficient manner. Plants may be vulnerable if in the path or immediate area.
Pedestal Fountain: The first bowl or dish that contains water sits on a stand (pedestal). A solid surface is recommended, a cement pad or a 1-piece steppingstone.
Electrical: The pump cord comes out from under the pedestal. Most pump cords are 12 – 16 feet and will need an outdoor grade outlet.

Wall Fountain with pedestal: First bowl or dish that contains water sits on a stand (pedestal). The back side of the fountain is flat and is placed against a wall. It is recommended that most wall fountains be attached to a wall with a bracket for stability. If the fountain is not going against a wall, check with us, we might be able to create a support for your fountain.
Electrical: The pump cord comes out between the wall basin and the first component that sits on top of it. Most pump cords are 12 – 16 feet and will need to be plugged in to an outdoor grade outlet. It is recommended that the outlet be off to the side of the fountain and not directly behind it.
Wall Fountain with basin: The first part of the fountain that sits on the ground contains water. One or more wall components sit on the back part of the basin. It is recommended that this type of wall fountain be attached to the wall with a bracket for stability.

Reservoir Fountain: A reservoir (also referred to as a disappearing basin) is a plastic tub that is placed in the ground. A water feature is placed on top and surrounded by decorative rocks. The reservoir is completely hidden. The hole should be the size of the reservoir (ie: 24” X 24”, 36” X 36”, etc.) and 12” deep. We can dig the hole for you, and even haul the excess dirt away, if needed. On some occasions we have encountered obstructions, such as pipes, wires, cement footings, etc. We may be able to work around them or an alternative location may need to be chosen. We cannot move electrical, gas and in some cases water lines. Please note; additional charges may be incurred.
Electrical: The pump cord comes out over the side of the reservoir. Most pump cords are 12 – 16 feet and will need to be plugged in to an outdoor grade outlet.
Pond or Basin Fountain: The lowest part of the fountain holds the largest amount of water and sits directly on the ground. If the basin is going on a solid surface it will need to be placed on a bed of sand. This allows us to level the basin, create a groove for the pump cord (if necessary) and helps prevent stress crack that may occur over time. All ponds placed on a bed of sand will need to be grouted at the base to prevent sand loss over time. If the pond is going directly on dirt, the dirt will need to be level and compacted. Sand will not be required; gravel will be used to level the basin.
Electrical: In most cases, the pump cord is fed through a hole in the center of the basin. It is routed under the basin or put through a conduit that runs under ground and to the electrical source. Pump cords are 12 – 16 feet and will need to be plugged in to an outdoor grade outlet.
Sectional Ponds with liners: The pond is created out of coping pieces that fit together to form the shape of the pond, these are placed over the wall of a plastic or fiberglass liner. This type of fountain MUST go on a solid and level surface in order for the coping pieces to line up properly.

Fiore Stone Round Ponds (plastic liner), Large:
Autofill: It is recommended that an Autofill be install due to water loss from splash and evaporation. A dedicated water line will need to be placed 43” from the center of the pond and a shut off valve and a psi reducer located outside of the pond.
Lighting: Run a PVC conduit for low voltage cable 43” from center of pond. A transformer will need to be placed near the electrical outlet.
Electrical: Electrical PVC pipe should be 43” from the center of the pond. The pump cord will be fed through the PVC and out to the electrical outlet.
Fiore Stone Round Ponds (plastic liner), Small:
